  My Story

  Shalom! I’m Dr. Amir Gefen, researcher and lecturer on cyber safety. In my PhD work at Bar Ilan University, I researched Cyberbullying among adolescents and its effects comparing to other forms of violence. I teaching in MA program for Educational Counselling. I am working with many municipalities and schools on designing and implanting online safety and cyberbullying prevention programs. In my previous role I’ve been a member of the founding team of the Israeli Child Online Protection Bureau – 105 helpline. Prior to that I worked many years in hi-tech firms in Israel and US. I am specializing in Artificial Intelligence technologies and Metaverse platforms.

  שלום, אני ד”ר עמיר גפן חוקר ומרצה למוגנות ומניעת פגיעה ברשת. עבודת הדוקטורט שלי באוניברסיטת בר-אילן חקרה את תופעת הבריונות ברשת (Cyberbullying) בקרב בני נוער. מרצה לתואר שני בייעוץ חינוכי באקדמית רמת גן. עוסק בפיתוח יישומי בינה מלאכותית בחינוך. בתפקידי הקודם הייתי חבר בצוות ההקמה וניהלתי את תחום המניעה במטה הלאומי להגנה על ילדים ברשת – מוקד 105 וקודם לכן שימשתי כמטמיע ארצי לנושא ‘גלישה בטוחה’ במשרד החינוך. בעל רקע טכנולוגי ומעל עשר שנות ניסיון בהובלת הכשרות והרצאות בנושאי מניעת פגיעה ברשת במסגרות אקדמיות, בבתי ספר וברשויות מקומיות.
