Jewish Heroes

In this course we will zoom in to famous and not famous Jewish heroes and will learn about their life and their contribution to Judaism/Israel and the world.
Some of the Jewish heroes are:

• Albert Einstein is justly famous for devising his theory of relativity, which revolutionized our understanding of space, time, gravity, and the universe.
• David Ben-Gurion was the primary national founder of the State of Israel and the first Prime Minister of Israel.
• Ilan Ramon was an Israeli fighter pilot and later the first Israeli astronaut. Ilan Ramon left his imprint on modern history, as the first Israeli pioneer to reach the new frontier for mankind that is the Space as an astronaut in a spaceship – Space Shuttle Columbia.
• Ruth Bader Ginsburg was an American lawyer and jurist who served as an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States.
• Hannah Szenes was a poet and her song “Eli ElI’ is well knowns all over the world. After she completed a two-year course in agriculture, Hannah joined the Sedot Yam kibbutz at Caesarea, where she wrote many of her poems. Hannah was also a Special Operations Executive member who parachuted into Yugoslavia during the Second World War Two.
