B’nai Mitzvah – Fathers and Sons

The “Bar Mitzvah” is an exciting step for a young Jew in his journey growing up. It symbolizes the time when a boy becomes a young man and is the beginning of every young person’s Jewish journey.

“Bar Mitzvah” is an opportunity to deepen the intimate connection between every son and his parents and with himself; an opportunity to connect to our Jewish and Israeli roots. I think this is an excellent reason to celebrate the “Bar Mitzvah” year and make it both meaningful and inspirational and so, for you –
parents and sons – We decided to create an inspirational course.

In this course you will have the opportunity to embark on a personal journey across time and a quest for answers. Our time together will be exciting, interesting, and fun but, most importantly, we will do it together. The course will touch on a multitude of worlds including relationships, current affairs, history, tradition, empowerment, and self-expression.

Through our classes we will explore different angles of our relationship with the world around us because, like in every journey, the people we meet along the way have a tremendous effect on our experiences and the way we view the world.

Sessions 1 – The connection between my parents, my immediate and extended family, and myself.

Sessions 2 – My connection to my friends, my community, and my culture.

Sessions 3 – Getting to know more about the life in Israel and Israeli culture.

Sessions 4 – My connection to Judaism and Torah.

Session 5 – How do I impact the world as an adult Jew?
