  My Story

  Shalom! My name is Sarit. I was born and raised in a small town near Haifa, Israel. I have a B.Ed. in Special Education and specialize in reading, writing, and math learning disabilities. I came to New York 12 years ago where I began teaching Jewish studies to elementary school children. I have taught 2nd and 3rd grade but, for the past few years, have been teaching 1st grade children at a Jewish school in Manhattan. I also teach Hebrew to children from elementary school up to high school ages. I love to combine technical and experiential learning and believe that children learn best from games and songs. I have been working with children for many years and believe that I can instill in them a love for Israel and the Hebrew language. I look forward to seeing you in my class.

  שלום!שמי שרית ונולדתי וגדלתי במקום קטן ליד חיפה, ישראל. יש לי BED, תואר ראשון בחינוך מיוחד עם התמחות בלקויות למידה בקריאה, כתיבה וחשבון. הגעתי לניו יורק לפני 12 שנה ומאז אני מלמדת ילדים יהדות ושפה. לימדתי כיתות ב׳, ג׳ אבל בשנים האחרונות אני מורה לכיתה א׳ בבית ספר יהודי דתי במנהטן. כמו כן אני מלמדת את השפה העברית באופן פרטני מגוון רחב של גילאים וילדים. אני אוהבת לשלב טכנולוגיה ולמידה חוויותית. אני מאמינה שילדים לומדים הכי טוב דרך חוויות, שירים ומשחקים. אני עובדת עם ילדים שנים רבות ומאמינה שאני יכולה להצית בליבם את האהבה לישראל ולשפה העברית.
