Voices from the Holocaust 8th-12th Grade

Ahead of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, that is observed in January, we invite you to participate in this program specifically curated for teens. Using primary sources, eyewitness testimony, and survivor accounts we will explore what life was like for different individuals with varying perspectives during the Holocaust.

Among the topics discussed: an introduction to the Holocaust, youth movements and the roles of ordinary people, persecution and dehumanization, ‘life’ in the ghettos and concentration camps, resistance, rescue, and liberation and more.

Lesson I: Introduction to the Holocaust – The Who, What, When, Where, How, and WHY.
Lesson II: Ordinary People, Ordinary Lives; Youth Movements.
Lesson III: Persecution and Dehumanization. Lesson
IV: ‘Life’ in the Ghettos and Camps; Resistance. Lesson
V: Rescue and Liberation.

This course is offered multiple times throughout the year with the same content.
